Stereo collection of feature data is more spatially accurate than digitizing features from a two-dimensional orthorectified image. For example, in 2D imagery it may be difficult to distinguish and overpass from an intersection, and some objects may appear to lean and overlap other features. Stereo visualization allows you to see these features in the imagery just as you would see them in real life - in 3D. Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS also lets you collect those features in three dimensions by capturing x, y, and z values.
