During this webinar, we will guide you through a workflow that enables you to determine how much earth has been removed from a quarry or mine. Likewise, this workflow could also be used by anyone who stores landscaping or constructions materials (such as gravel, sand, or dirt). We will begin by generating a high-density digital surface model (DSM) using advanced pixel correlation methods (including semi-global matching) on stereo imagery pairs. Using the DSMs, we will then illustrate how to create a set of bare-earth, digital elevation models (DEMs) that represent the ground surface both with and without the piles. Finally, we will employ newly-released spatial modeling technology to prepare the DMSs for the final steps of the calculations that provide a volumetric measurement of the pile.

Change detection enables you to identify significant differences in imagery acquired at different times. It is often critical for imagery analysis. In addition, it plays a key role in enabling you to update your feature data based on new imagery. Change detection workflows can be applied to understanding land use and land cover, delineating wetlands loss and encroachment, estimating forest loss caused by development or disease, identifying new housing and infrastructure changes, security, ship tracking, and mapping flood extent areas and disaster impact zones. ERDAS IMAGINE offers tools providing different approaches to this critical workflow, with flexibility to meet your purposes and your available resources. During this webinar, we'll show you the various approaches that ERDAS IMAGINE offers for detecting change in real-world scenarios. We will also discuss planning data acquisitions in support of chnage detection, and various image preprocessing techniques that improve change detection results.

Interested in learning more about the power of radar? As a part of ERDAS IMAGINE 2013, the IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite is a fully interactive workstation specifically tailored to the day-to-day operational requirements of radar facilities. IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite includes tools to complete a variety of workflows, accurately and completely, even with relatively little radar expertise. IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite provides capabilities that enable easier, more thorough use of radar data resources. In this release, many of the radar tools are now presented in a ribbon interface for faster and easier access. Other features include real-time ship tracking with Automatic Identification System (AIS) feeds, better interferometry wizard workflows, on-the-fly georeferencing, and quick and easy detection of floods or spills. During this webinar, we’ll showcase the power of radar, demonstrate the new features in IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite, and illustrate the competitive advantages we offer our users.

Hexagon 2012

In this session, the presenter will highlight the vitality of geospatial image processing and analysis, GIS, remote sensing, and photogrammetry – and how you can access these tools from a single powerful and convenient package. A web processing service (WPS) provides a centralized production environment to manage and optimize access, processes, and output. Learn how you can work from one collective data pool to create value-added data products from custom front-ends. The system automatically catalogs resulting derivatives and immediately makes them available to other users. Discover how to use the new spatial modeler, and then deliver vector and raster models to other users over the Internet via interoperable geoprocessing services. The presenter will also introduce a suite of point cloud tools and provide an overview of the LPS user interface integration into the ERDAS IMAGINE® ribbon.

Earlier this year, Intergraph announced Live Link, which combines GeoMedia® and ERDAS IMAGINE to deliver a comprehensive suite of GIS analysis and data management capabilities, coupled with image processing. The combination delivers what geospatial professionals have wanted for a long time – seamless integration of vector and raster data and processing. During this session, the presenter will explore the next phase of this integration that will be available in the 2012 product release, as well as present other enhancements across the desktop portfolio. In GeoMedia, you will have the opportunity to preview the new look and improved user experience, enhanced performance and scalability for enterprise databases, and the time savings in dynamic and static text placement and automated labeling. Explore how visualizing, navigating, analyzing, and interacting with geospatial data in 3D can greatly enhance an organization’s ability to make decisions. See how GeoMedia 3D extends the functionality of GeoMedia, enabling you to exploit the precision and power of your geospatial data, which leads to quicker, more confident decision-making and visual communication in support of location-centric tasks.

In this session, learn about Intergraph’s two robust platforms for solving photogrammetry problems and turning raw data into useful information. Professionals can benefit from ERDAS IMAGINE (with LPS) to address image processing, photogrammetry, and/or LiDAR data workflows. Commercial photogrammetry customers benefit from the high-throughput capabilities of Intergraph’s ImageStation® products. Whether you need an integrated platform to work with all types of geospatial data, or a cloud-oriented solution to create or update large spatial databases, Intergraph’s proven solutions can improve your productivity. You’ll also find out about new technological developments, including on-going efforts to cross-pollinate our photogrammetric tools across our portfolio. In addition, the presenter will explore unmanned aerial vehicles’ (UAVs) heightened susceptibility to in-flight environmental influences, the smaller footprints of the images they collect, and the software workflow necessary to correct the imagery. Imagery obtained from GheoRhea’s UAV platform will be used to demonstrate a complete and accurate workflow for correcting the artifacts inherent in UAV-sourced imagery.
