Working with the Spatial Modeler
Rapid vector and raster analysis in the Spatial Modeler.
Watch

Vectors in the Spatial Modeler
This movie illustrates the various ways you can work with GeoMedia Warehouses and Shapefiles in the Spatial Modeler.
Watch

Point Cloud Editing
This video demonstrates the point cloud editing capabilities which are now available in ERDAS IMAGINE.
Watch

IMAGINE 2013 Modeler using Python
This video illustrates the use of Python scripting in the Spatial Modeler.
Watch

Warehouses and Shapefiles in Spatial Modeler
Rapid vector and raster analysis in the Spatial Modeler
Watch

Running Indices in Spatial Modeler
Start an application that computes various indices from multispectral imagery. View the underlying calculation using the new Spatial Modeler Editor. Then run the model, directly displaying the results. This interactively computed display can then interact with other geographic data layers.
Watch

Publishing WPS Models
Learn how to publish WPS using the new spatial modeler.
Watch

IMAGINE 2013 Measure Ribbon
The measure ribbon in ERDAS IMAGINE allows the user to measure the height of objects based on shadow length.
Watch

IMAGINE 2013 Lidar corridor
The profile roam capability allows a user to quickly examine a corridor cross-section.
Watch

IMAGINE 2013 Modeler Resolution Merge
This movie shows how a user can find an algorithm to do a resolution merge online and then build and execute the model in the new spatial modeler.
Watch

IMAGINE Easytrace increases efficiency of capturing linear road features
IMAGINE Easytrace is an efficiency-increasing tool integrated with standard vector editing tools for the capture of linear features into a vector format. The operator simply clicks on widely dispersed locations along the road feature. IMAGINE Easytrace fills in the intermediate vertices necessary to accurately capture the feature, thereby reducing the number of button clicks the operator has to apply and saving time.
Watch

IMAGINE 2013 Modeler
This movie shows how a user takes the existing painted relief model, to create a shaded relief model of Africa. It produces a real-time preview and shows how the user can get instant feedback to any changes to the model.
Watch

Dynamic GIS = GIS + Remote Sensing + Photogrammetry
The video demonstrates interoperability between ERDAS IMAGINE and Intergraph's GeoMedia where ERDAS IMAGINE's modeler updates permeability values into Geomedia Warehouse. It also shows the synergy between the two products using the Live Linking of the viewers, which makes working with multiple products effortless.
Watch

Geocoding with Microsoft Bing Maps
ERDAS IMAGINE supports base maps from Microsoft Bing. Bing base maps include geocoding capability enabling users to zoom to a map location by providing a street address. Users can also click on the map to obtain a street address.
Watch

ERDAS IMAGINE Collaborates with Google Earth
ERDAS IMAGINE 2011 supports collaboration with Google Earth. Imagery diisplayed in ERDAS IMAGINE can be simultaneously shown in Google Earth so users can easily see the global context of the image. Additionally, users can export footprints and annotations from ERDAS IMAGINE to Google Earth.
Watch

Customize ERDAS IMAGINE Base Maps
ERDAS IMAGINE 2011 enables the creation of customized base maps from different types of imagery files and OGC-compliant web services. The new GeoServices Explorer provides users with a quick and easy way to access web services for base map creation. Easily switch between different base maps from a convenient selector on the ERDAS IMAGINE ribbon.

Part 1: Standardized Image / Map Reports
IMAGINE Essentials 9.3 provides powerful tools for rapidly creating Image or Map Reports from exploited data that can be copied to any Windows application which supports the Clipboard, such as PowerPoint. This enables rapid briefing of managers with mission critical information.
Watch

Part 3: Custom Map / Report Creation
IMAGINE Essentials can also be used to simply create a map/report (or a template) from scratch without utilizing pre-generated templates. This movie shows some of the elements which can quickly and easily be added to a map/report.
Watch

Part 2: Map Series - Mail Merging
This movie depicts the use of IMAGINE Essentials 9.3 to perform a “mail merge” between your data and a map/report template but also using a database of known map scales, tile names and geographic extents. For example you can quickly create maps based on your national mapping agency named maps.

Using Web Services as Sources of Data in ERDAS IMAGINE
ERDAS IMAGINE’s Geospatial Services Explorer (GSX) enables connection to and use of a wide variety of enterprise data sources including OGC standards such as WMS, WCS and the CS-W cataloging services provided by products such as ERDAS APOLLO Image Manager and ERDAS IWS.

Terrain Preparation Tool in LPS
The Terrain Preparation Tool (TPT) has added functionality in the 2011 release. Most importantly is the ability to create contour layers from any of the input layers. It is also possible to distribute processes to multiple CPUs or across multiple machines if you are running more than one merging function. Being able to create high quality contours directly from DTM’s along with utilizing all processors, saves times and avoids duplicating work.

  • The IMAGINE Geospatial Light Table (GLT) provides a rich suite of tools for directly exploiting all types of geospatial information, especially modern panchromatic and multispectral imagery. The concise user interface provides for real-time panning, zooming, rotating, enhancement, annotation and more in multiple geographically linked views. This introduction to the capabilities of the IMAGINE GLT is provided by a long-time user of ERDAS IMAGINE – Jarlath O'Neil-Dunne, Geospatial Analyst (GA) at the University of Vermont. In his own words, this 15-minute video represents “One man's attempt to move faculty and students away from the classic viewer.”
